Amanda Taylor is a viable part of the PWU team, working with students to ensure a healthy and effective school education.  She holds an Associates Degree in Christian Counseling and is an active Missionary of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, from North Carolina.

The Chief Financial Officer, Daphne Covington, and the financial Aid Team consists of our best of the best! This team  works hard to give our students the best education at the best pricing!  Daphne Covington has more than 25 years in financial management and public service and community involvement!  She is a vital partner in keeping us all financially sound and costs for our students affordable and flexible!

President
Our esteemed President is Dr. Kako Archie Covington and has dedicated more than 36 years to education of students of all ages. With a Doctoral Degree in Theology, A Master's in Christian Counseling, a Bachelors in Behavioral Psychology and an Associates in Interpersonal Relationships and Disciplinary Studies, with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education, she is more than qualified to guide our ship! Dr. Covington has also been Pastoring for 22 years and has preached in the United States and beyond!

Vice President 

Dr. Vanessa J. Kelly is a dynamic educator, thought leader, and transformational coach with over 20 years of experience in public education and faith-based learning. With a Doctoral Degree in Christian Counseling, a Masters in School Administration and a Bachelor's in English Literature, Dr. Kelly passionately equips students to explore the biblical mandate to make disciples through a lens of purpose, clarity, and global relevance. Her approach combines scriptural insight with real-world strategies for ministry impact!

Dean of Academics

With a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, a Masters in Christian Counseling, a Masters in Special Education, and a Bachelor's in Psychology, PWU is proud to have Dr. Gibbs as Dean of Academics and a seasoned Instructor. With more than 30 years of experience  with Autism, Behavioral Health and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, her classes are teaming with knowledge and infused with her gifting's from the Holy Ghost as well!

Dr. K'Lah Ledbetter-Covington is an amazing instructor and advocate for students rights, involvement and education.  With a doctoral degree in Theological Ethics and Religious Vocations, her classes are fused with sound doctrine and moral insight that can only come from the Holy Ghost. From guiding our students during office hours, to teaching them in the classroom, Dr. Ledbetter-Covington works hard both in the class room and out!

Praise Waiteth University is delighted to announce that Dr. Vanessa J. Kelly has taken on the esteemed role of Vice President.  A vibrant educator, influential thinker, and transformative coach, Dr. Kelly brings over 20 years of experience spanning public education and faith-based teaching. She holds a Doctoral Degree in Christian Counseling, a Master's in School Administration, and a Bachelor's in English Literature, along with several published works. Through her impactful initiative, the Reset Lounge, Dr. Kelly is dedicated to empowering educators and leaders to reorient their approaches. She fervently encourages students to delve into the biblical call to make disciples, viewed through the lens of purpose, clarity, and global significance. Her methods fuse scriptural understanding with practical strategies aimed at enhancing ministry impact!

Dr. Annette Gibbs, the Dean of Academics at Praise Waiteth University, is the host of Praise Power Points and the founder of Women of Miracles Evoke Nations (W.O.M.E.N.). This vibrant community is committed to spreading the Gospel, providing education and empowerment to those who have gone through difficult times, fostering transformational change, and promoting a worldwide movement that inspires future generations.
State authorization
Praise Waiteth University was approved through the North Carolina General Education Board to officially accept students in 2019. Classes began January 2020 and students began to pour in the doors! Fully Accredited, PWU offers several degrees from the Associates to the doctoral program. Paired with friendly and educated staff, PWU is leagues above other colleges in the Nation!
